Seasonal PositionResponsibilities Overview:
- Able to lift, stack and un-stack 50-pound buckets when needed.
- Check cooler and freezer and cooler temperatures regularly and report readings.
- Manage and order ingredient inventory and packaging inventory as needed
- Store ice cream in walk-in freezers and rotate dates correctly per diagram
- Make ice cream when needed per demand per Homeland Creamery standards
- Follow all recipes exact and do not substitute any flavor unless given permission
- Properly sanitize all equipment before processing and wash all parts after use per SOP
- Ensure labels are accurate while presentation on products are properly added to containers and dates are correctly labeled
- Take a visual inventory of freezer stock to plan day and order of processing
- Be aware of production needs in the event of your absence
- Communicate with Logistics Assistants on ice cream pulled for deliveries
- Assemble cardboard containers as needed
- Maintain and update production log daily
- Maintain replacement part log and reorder as needed
- Assist in other areas of production as necessary if asked by the Operations Manager or Owners

Reports to: Processing Manager
Production team members are responsible for assisting the Production Processing Manager with the everyday functions of processing dairy products from start up to the end of day sanitation. All team members are responsible for learning each process but may each have primary responsivities.
• Wear appropriate workwear. (uniform, hairnet, hat, gloves, beard net)
• Change into processing boots, uniform, and hat from locker each work day.
• Be aware of doors inside as well as exterior doors and keep shut as much as possible.
• Be familiar with various dairy products and the procedures to process them correctly.
• Assemble pipes and equipment such as filler and labeler during each processing day.
• Be knowledge of chemical list and how to use each one in the sanitation process.
• Be familiar with SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) as well as being familiar with protocols for proper sanitation and ensure they are being followed properly.
• Maintain awareness of freezer and cooler doors and keep closed when not in use.
• Understand organization of coolers and work with loaders and Logistics Manager to ensure milk is being rotated properly.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically.
• Wash hands each time re-entering the processing room.
• Mop cooler floors and storage area with Clorox solution if needed and mop or squeegee out any standing water in cooler.
• Be able to build and tear down designated machinery to ensure cleanliness
• Assist in cleaning tanks, cream cans, and other equipment.
• Assist in taking trash and recycling out at the end of each day from the processing room.
• Be familiar with product location and rotation in coolers.
• Be able to store and stack products in cooler from filler.
• Perform various tasks by management as needed.
